First joint project with World Design Capital Valencia 2022
Donata Jutkienė, the curator of the “Kaunas 2022″ programme “Designing Happiness”, visited Valencia, where the first joint project of the two design capitals – Kaunas, the European Capital of Culture, and Valencia, the World Design Capital 2022 – took place. During the presentation, two movies were showed – “Zefiro torna” by Jonas Mekas about Jurgis Mačiūnas and Jeffrey Perkins’ “George”.
During the visit to Spain, together with the Mayor of Valencia Joan Ribó, representatives of the World Design Capital Valencia 2022 Xavi Calvo and Silvia Florez as well as the Consul of the Republic of Lithuania in Valencia Aleksandrs Kudaba and Vilma Dobilaite, further plans and opportunities for cooperation were discussed, and we believe that this beautiful and productive friendship between the two capital cities will continue!
